The primary objectives of the EuroQol Valuation Task Force are: (1) to explore different valuation methodologies for the EQ-5D; (2)  to provide guidance and conditional support for research groups wanting to carry out valuation studies; (3)  to develop a revised protocol for EQ-5D-5L valuation studies.

Current initiatives:

• Development of electronic valuation technology combining TTO and DCE observations
• Testing the above technology in Argentina, Canada, China, England, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore and Spain
• Producing interim value sets for the EQ-5D-5L from an international dataset containing observations from patients who filled in both the 3L and 5L versions of the questionnaire
• Collaborating with the Disease Specific Task Force to explore the options for valuation of condition specific bolt-ons/dimension extensions
• Working with the Youth Taskforce to advise on valuation of EQ-5D-Y
